BOUTONNIERE LOVE

Years ago, the boutonniere was a single flower worn as decoration for a formal event. Most often it would be seen on a lapel of a man’s tux or suit, fastened by a pin or even pushed through a button hole. Nowadays, these floral accents are no longer a lonely flower but a super stylish accent.  From fiddle-heads and succulents to babies breath and berries anything goes! We are just gaga over these handsome works of art.

Ever After Bridal Photoshoot | Metropolitan Building, NYC

If you’ve been following our work this past year, you’d know that we have had the honor of working with the always amazing Jen from Ever After Bridal before and when she messaged us to ask if we wanted to be the photographers to bring her next styled shoot to life, we didn’t hesitate to jump at the opportunity! And boy, our new photoshoot was the complete opposite of the previous one! The last time we worked together, the Mayflower Grace contributed a soft, pure white background to the elegant and lovely nature of the wedding gowns. The photoshoot this past November at the famous Metropolitan Building in NYC, we were going for a staunch juxtaposition of grime and beauty which really made our lovely brides pop. The crudeness and mismatched nature of the 3rd floor provided the perfect location to show off the timeless elegance of these beautiful Veluz Reyes dresses!   This shoot was every photographer’s dream! We had a beautiful venue, a talented cake artist, an incredible florist and to top it all off, Jen invited the beautiful Kristen Taekman from the Real House Wives of New York City to model for us! She also wanted […]

Jennifer and Dan | Engagement

We had a great time exploring New England’s iconic Martha’s Vineyard with Jennifer and Dan for their Lifestyle Shoot last month! Soaking up the last warm days of the year, we found a lot of beautiful spots that show off the lovely fall colors and got one last shoot in on the beach before the winter snows fall. These two are such a great couple!

Samantha and Austin | Engagement

What a perfect day for a fall engagement shoot! We spent the day on the lake with Samantha and Austin fishing, enjoying the foliage and making s’mores around the fire.

Heather and Will | Waterbury Country Club

We’ve had the pleasure to work with this family many times over the years and their weddings are always a blast – Heather and Will’s was no exception! We had some fun on the family farm, got our bridal party photos photobombed by Heather’s horse and ended the night with an awesome party. Couldn’t have asked for a better day! Congratulations, Heather and Will!

Jessica and Mike | Gershon Fox Ballroom

Jessica and Mike lived in apartments above each other for two whole years before a chance online meeting brought them together for their first date. All hesitation of the date going wrong and having to face one another every day went away when the pair realized that those rumors of an existence of “love at first sight” were more than true! After a few years together and buying a lovely home (featured in their engagement shoot back in June), the couple were engaged while sitting under the stars on their back porch. Jessica and Mike had a fairy-tale wedding at the Gershon Fox Ballroom in Hartford, CT back in September. Even a little rain couldn’t dampen the mood of this perfect day. We had the chance to tour around the Hartford City Hall building for some medieval-themed couples shots and to tie everything together, the pair even cut their cake with a rapier! How cool! Congratulations, Jessica and Mike!

Denise and Charles | The Aqua Turf

Denise and Chuck are the perfect example of a pair that are absolutely made for each other. From their weekly softball games, getting dirty participating in mud runs to relaxing on the couch and binge watching Netflix, these two do everything together and are always in search of an adventure. (Check out their awesome baseball themed engagement shoot) Being a very family-centered couple, Denise tells us that “our family is first, second, and third in our lives, and we enjoy every moment of it. Its a great feeling to know that as of 9/25/15 that our families just got a lot bigger!” Denise and Chuck were married in a lovely church ceremony followed by a rockin’ reception at The Aqua Turf in Plantsville, CT. It was a beautiful day with a wonderful couple we wont soon forget! Congratulations, Denise and Charles!

Michelle and Peter | Woodwinds

Peter proposed to Michelle on a cold winter’s day after she triumphantly crossed the finish line of the Savin Rock Half Marathon. She, exhausted and in shock, gathered up the energy and nodded her head yes. A little over a year later, they tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony at WoodWinds in Branford, CT. The day was perfect, the little details were lovely and we had an amazing time with this fun-loving couple! Congratulations, Michelle and Peter!!

Jessica and Marcus | Popponessett Inn – Cape Cod

Jessica and Marcus were married in the lovely coastal town of Mashpee in southern Cape Cod Massachusetts. It was the perfect beach wedding which is no surprise because the bride is a wedding planner by trade! Jessica’s infectious laughter and enthusiasm for life really set the tone for the day and emanated through every one the couple’s friends and family. You can tell by the look in their eyes that Jessica and Marcus are deeply and truly in love and we were honored to be a part of their special day. The couple were engaged over some delicious NoRA cupcakes, so it makes sense that the Middletown, CT company catered the deserts at their wedding! Yum! Congratulations, Jessica and Marcus! Here’s to many years (and many cupcakes) together!
